This beautifully illustrated picture book by Laurie Newman, co-illustrated with Sophie Cregan, is aimed at children aged 3-7 and is an underwater adventure about the problems plastic waste and PPE is having on our oceans.
Plastic waste has forced everyone to leave the reef, except Jessie, who now finds herself all alone without any friends. She soon confuses a plastic bag for one of her kind. Jessie takes us on a journey of heartbreak and hope. The story is brought to a happy close with 'The Hoomans' taking control and cleaning up the rubbish so that Jessie's friends can returm to the reef to party and play.
