  • What does it replace and is it an improvement?

High street deodorants tend to also be anti-perspirants which seal off sweat glands to reduce sweating. This has become an appealing aspect to most in this day and age, but sweating is a natural process that our body needs to regulate its own temperature.

The Natural Deodorant Co have developed a range of deodorant creams which are free from aluminium so do not act as an anti-perspirant, but contain all natural ingredients to combat odour. They come in a glass jar with an aluminium lid so are fully recylcable, which is a positive given a number of the high street brands come in a plastic roll on.

From a money's worth point of view, they are noticeably pricier than the common high street brands, but a little goes a long way which makes one jar last months so the initial outlay probably evens out in the long run.

  • What is my review?

I have tried a few natural deodorants in the past but struggled a little as I have sensitive skin on my underarms. I then came across The Natural Deodorant Co deodorants (gentle range) which are free from sodium bicarbonate and found these to work perfectly for me. I feel well protected, even after an hour body combat session.

The fragrances are personal preference, but all are quite subtle so don't smell too 'hippy-ish' (a term I've heard some people call natural smells).

The cream is lovely and smooth, and is easy to get out of the jar to use. For my ladies who like to have long nails, I'd recommend using a utensil of some sort to get your daily amount out of the jar so it doesn't end up going underneath your nails.

I have been using my current jar now for nearly 4 months and am nearly at the end, so although they cost a bit more initially, they last a long time as you only need a small amount.

I am yet to find a downside to these deodorants, so my rating is 9.5/10.
