Brand Story: Soul and Soap is a small company based in Cornwall. They are not yet 100% plastic free on all of their products, but are in the process of eliminating their plastic use on their whole range. They use natural ingredients wherever possible which are ethically sourced and sustainable. They also believe that neither animals, humans or the environment should suffer for our luxuries so all of their products are cruelty free and most of them are vegan friendly.
None of their product formulas include palm oil, but they know that it can be included as a raw material or processing component when ingredients/products are manufactured. Because of this, they always request that their supply chain source only RSPO certified oils if it is required.
Ingredients: Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Ceteryl alcohol, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Aqua, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Ricinus communis (Castor) oil, Crambe Abyssinica Seed Oil, Phytosterol Ester, Hydrogenated Ethylhexyl Olivate.

Soul and Soap ‘Shine On’ Conditioner Bar
What does it replace and is it an improvement?
Have you ever been down the hair care aisle of a supermarket or a Boots/Superdrug store and taken note of how many plastic bottles are actually down there in that one shop? I did once and it put things massively in perspective for me as my mind then went mad and started trying to quantify the number of plastic bottles used solely on hair care in the UK (my mind is pretty overactive)!
These Soul and Soap conditioner bars are a 'naked' alternative to avoid the use of these many plastic bottles. If looked after properly, they should last longer too.
What is my review?
As a big fan of the Soul and Soap shampoo bars, I was excited to hear about the release of the Soul and Soap conditioner bars as I knew this would complete their hair-care range. I unfortunately had already tried and fallen in love with the Friendly conditioner bars so have not yet tried these conditioner bars personally.
My first impressions of the bar itself is that the fragrance is a subtle, woody smell, which is quite nice as it's not too overpowering. This I think works quite well as I don't think it would interfere with the shampoo fragrances.
A major positive of these bars is that they can easily be transported - especially travelling abroad with hand luggage as you won't have to meet the 100ml liquid limit! You can take your whole hair care range with you on your trip away, without having to worry about the limit or any spills on your travels.
